God’s forgiveness removes our burden of sin, it liberates us, it re-creates us and gives us peace. It makes us more effective and stronger in our lives of Christian service and witness.
It is like the touch of a healing encounter with Jesus.
Confession is practiced in the Church in Wales, although it is not compulsory. It doesn’t involve a ‘confessional’ box but takes the form of a conversation, during which the priest will offer counsel and absolution.
Everything discussed in confession is under ‘the seal of the confessional’ and will never be discussed again (unless you choose to bring it up) or shared with anyone else. You can see what to expect by looking at the order of service below.
