Kentigern Guild

The Kentigern Guild is the society of women and men of the Parish Church and Cathedral. The Guild meets on the first Wednesday of each month from October until April. Meetings are held in the Parish Church from 2.30 till 4.30 and the meetings consist of a talk by a visiting speaker followed by refreshments. Last season’s talks included a talk about the Ukraine, a look at the childhood of H M Stanley in the St Asaph Workhouse and a talk about drug running by children recruited by County Lines. The programme for 2023-4 will include speakers talking about Mountain Rescue, Walking Safaris, a talk about Llys Fasi Agricultural College and a talk about the bridge at Tremeirchion. The Kentigern Guild have supported a variety of charities over the years – in particular Water Aid and St Kentigern Hospice but also Mercy Ships, the Food Bank, Help for Heroes and many others We also donate a sum of money on alternate years to the Parish Church and to the Cathedral to cover the cost of a small project. Members pay an annual subscription of £10 to finance these donations. We are always delighted to welcome new members.
